Hector is a U3 Cognitive Science student in the Psych/Neuro & Computer Science streams. His favourite class in the program has been PSYC311, he finds Gazzaniga's work on split-brain patients really interesting! Also PHIL474--a bit chaotic but a fun ride.
Fun fact: He is starting to realize that the hard problem of consciousness is hard to solve!

Daria is a U3 Cognitive Science student streaming in Neuroscience and Psychology. Throughout her degree, she has really enjoyed PSYC311 and PSYC410! Both of these classes are super interesting and teach you so much about various aspects of Neuroscience and Behavioural Psychology. In her free time she loves to find cute coffee shops in Montreal, cook with friends, and play board games!
Fun fact: she once got locked in the Redpath basement!

Aslan LaCouvee

Aslan LaCouvee is a U2 student. His main stream is Neuroscience and he is currently minoring in Computer Science. He is originally from Vancouver Island so he loves the outdoors, specifically hiking, surfing, and mountain biking. His favourite class at McGill so far has been PSYC213!

Sophie is a U2 Cognitive Science student whose main stream is Psychology with a Computer Science minor. Her favourite class in the program so far has been PHIL221 with Ian Gold - super engaging especially if you want more context for the development of Cognitive Science!

Genavieve Maloney

Genavieve is a U3 Cognitive Science student in the Neuroscience stream with a minor in Social Studies of Medicine. Her favourite course has been BIOL507! Animal communication was fascinating and great for learning how to analyze scientific articles. Also ANTH440 :)
Fun fact: she touched her tongue to her nose for the first time this summer

Macy Thorne

Macy Thorne (she/her) is a U3 Cognitive Science student in the Psychology stream with a minor in Philosophy. Macy has enjoyed the interdisciplinary nature of Cog Sci and how she has been able to integrate multiple academic interests in many of her classes. Her favourite class so far has been PHIL306 where she was able to take a philosophical approach to cognition - two of Macy's favourite subjects! An honourable mention is PSYC304 where many of the cognitive issues that are pointed out in PSYC310 and 311 are explained through child development. In her spare time, Macy enjoys checking out local cafés, exercising and finding new artistic outlets!

Renee Withnell

Renee is a U2 Cognitive Science student in the Neuro and Psych streams and her favorite CogSci class so far has been PSYC211 - it was definitely the most engaging class she has taken at McGill, however, Renee says that BASC201 and ANTH202 had some fascinating readings as well. In her free time, she enjoys singing with her guitar, attempting new recipes, and reading one of her many self-help books.

Alex Lu is a U2 student in the Computer Science stream with a Linguistics minor. His favourite class so far has been PHIL201 with Prof Magal. His favourite hobbies are playing the cello, juggling and alpine skiing.
Fun fact: he has given himself frostbite in the middle of summer by accident.

Charlene is a second year student in the Neuro and Psych streams. Her favourite class so far has been PSYC100 with the iconic Prof Hardt. Whenever she has time, she'd love to go on a scenic hike, curl up and read a classic book, or explore every nook and cranny of Montreal with her friends.

Robbie Dow

Robbie is a U3 Cognitive Science student with a concentration in Computer Science and minor in Communications. His favorite course was PSYC319 because it uncovered new and exciting ways that Psychology and Cog Sci intersect with Computer Ccience. Robbie spends his free time cooking, playing guitar, and running outside when it’s not freeze-your-butt-off cold.

Blanche is a U2 student in the Psychology stream. Her favourite class so far has been LING201 with Professor Torrera, although she also loved BASC201 and PHIL201. Her favourite hobbies are going to the gym and watching reality TV with her roommates.
Fun fact: she lived in Southeast Asia for 13 years!
